QTL Experiment in Brief |
Animals: | Cattle were Holstein-Friesian and Jersey and their crosses. |
Breeds associated:
|
Design: | Animals were genotyped using the Illumina Bovine SNP50 BeadChip or GeneSeek Genomic Profiler BeadChip, with data imputed to higher density using RNAseq alignments, and analyzed for milk lactose traits. Then, 1 Mbp windows centered on the top QTL markers were imputed to whole-genome sequence resolution for further analysis. |
Analysis: | Generalized least squares models were used. |
Software: | GCTA, Samtools, Beagle 4, GATK HaplotypeCaller, PLINK |
