    Animals:Animals were Angus, Hereford, and Angus-Hereford crossbred cattle.
     Breeds associated:
    Design:Animals were genotyped using a panel of 216 SNPs in candidate regions and analyzed for feed efficiency related traits. A total of 159 SNPs were ultimately used for analysis.
    Analysis:Three models were used to evaluate SNP associations, including allele substitution effects, genotypic, and additive/dominance models.
